For all Apple users, do not purchase from Switch because they are just an Apple Reseller with inefficient service. In their receipts, they have a policy which excludes all Apple products from a right to refund. This means you will not know of their policy until after you purchased their product and it is already too late to do anything.

This means that if you are unlucky enough to purchase any defective Apple product, not only will they refuse to give you a refund, but there is nothing they can do to fix your problem. The service centre initially wanted to charge us for a diagnosis.

What is even worse is that they will refuse to compensate you. They will keep telling you that they will have to follow procedure, yet they are reluctant to give you the Apple Care number to protect their own interests.

The staff of The Spring Kuching Switch store were not cooperative when we explained the situation to them. They argued with us for several hours and actively prevented us from seeing management until they gave up. We had to repeat the same thing to them over and over again, wasting our energy and time.

When we spoke to the manager, she was of not much help and although she mentioned that we may need to contact Apple Care, she neglected to give us the Apple Care number or instruct the service centre staff to give it to us, wasting even more our time and money to call back and request for it. When we asked her to write a note to confirm our discussion, she did not comply.

In total, we wasted several hours across 4 days and multiple trips to The Spring Kuching Switch store and the service centre in Sekama, only to find out that I have to make a phone call to Apple Care and solve the problem myself.

In summary, we bought a problematic phone that wasted our time, energy, and extra expenses (parking, petrol, tempered glass, phone call, phone case, etc). Switch's refund policy, is against the Sales of Good Act 1957 s16(1) because they refused to refund a product that is not fit for its purpose by excluding Apple products in their disclaimer.

No attempt was made to compensate us for our losses, showing how unacceptable their service is. All they care about is your money, without giving you your consumer rights or good service. The staff were absolutely incompetent.

If you would like to buy any Apple product, do not waste your time buying from Switch, get it from an official Apple Store or even online directly from Apple.
